With 2020 ballots arriving as we speak, we are excited to invite you to a Zoom information session on Tuesday evening, October 6, at 7:00pm (details below). Our goal is to have an informed discussion about local election consolidation here in Ridgewood.
The featured speaker is Zoltan Hajnal, Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy. Prof. Hajnal is a nationally known expert on topics of voter turnout and off-cycle elections, and he will share his thoughts on why our Municipal Ballot Question will improve local democracy.
We’ll also be present at the session to answer questions and discuss why voting “Yes” on the Municipal Question is so important.
Ridgewood’s local government affects many aspects of our day-to-day life. One Village One Vote wants to increase voter turnout, reduce election costs and minimize safety concerns for our students–but we also want to see other improvements in our community. Please watch our video to learn more about election consolidation as it relates to the May municipal election.
Your 2020 ballots will be arriving this week. One Village One Vote encourages you to:
Vote YES to our Consolidation Question on page 3 of the ballot.
